Saudi Arabia has barred foreigners from the annual Haj pilgrimage for the second year in a row due to Covid-19. The Kingdom says this year’s Haj will be limited to 60,000 of its own citizens and residents. Before the pandemic, over 2M pilgrims used to visit Saudi Arabia annually to perform the pilgrimage.

Iraqi authorities say the remains of 123 people killed by the Islamic State group have been removed from a mass grave near the city of Mosul in a bid to identify them. Officials believe the victims were among more than 600 Shiite inmates at Badoush prison who were executed by the group in 2014.
