What to Watch

Iran and the US are resuming indirect talks to revive the 2015 nuclear deal. Qatar is hosting the EU-facilitated sessions with no other party to the deal involved at this stage. The IAEA has warned that time is running out to save the deal.

Iraq’s prime minister has traveled to Iran and Saudi Arabia to promote a new round of talks between the two sides. One informed source tells Amwaj.media that the visits were “constructive," adding that Tehran and Riyadh are expected to resume talks in Baghdad in the coming weeks.

Bahrain has hosted the first Steering Committee meeting of the Negev Forum. Senior diplomats from Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, the UAE and the US were in attendance. The meeting comes just weeks ahead of the US president’s upcoming visit to Israel and Saudi Arabia.
