The Corrective Justice Law for Children and Protection from Ill-Treatment, ratified by Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Feb. 14, stipulates the establishment of separate special courts for children and ad-hoc detention facilities. It also identifies a child as any person under the age of 18.
