Morocco, Saudi Arabia rekindle ties after years of tensions

The relationship between Morocco and Saudi Arabia shows signs of improving after reaching a historical low point in recent years. While the two monarchies became especially close after the 2011 Arab Spring uprisings, their ties deteriorated over Morocco’s neutral stance on the 2017 blockade of Qatar by the “Arab Quartet” (Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.)
