The story: Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi is due to embark on a trip to Oman, Amwaj.media has learned. Speaking on condition of anonymity, a senior source in Tehran said that while the details of the state visit have yet to be finalized, Raisi is expected to arrive in Muscat “early next week.” The trip is set to come in the wake of expanding Iranian engagement with its southern Arab neighbors—including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
