The new Syrian administration’s Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra, and intelligence chief Anas Khattab last week paid their first official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The latter is the third Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member state to welcome Shaibani since his appointment last month.
