Will ‘missile transfer’ enable Russian shift on Iran’s nuclear program?

Once again, reports have emerged in western media that Iran has supplied missiles to Russia. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sept. 9 stated that Tehran had delivered short-range tactical projectiles that are expected to soon be deployed on the battlefield in Ukraine. The statement was quickly endorsed by Britain, France and Germany, which called the alleged arms transfer “an escalation by both Iran and Russia” and “a direct threat to European security.” The three countries vowed to respond with swift punitive measures, including stricter aviation restrictions on Iran and sanctions on its national carrier.
