Arran Walshe

Arran Walshe is an independent researcher and analyst focusing on the Middle East, with a specialization in Iraqi affairs. His current work traces the application of humanitarian and transitional expertise in post-invasion Iraq through its compensation and reparations programs. His other main project examines how cultures of generosity and hospitality in the broader region shape political life. He holds a PhD in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from New York University, and an MPhil in Modern Middle East Studies from the University of Oxford.
