Iran's Ahmadinejad warns of boycott if barred from presidential candidacy

The story: Conservative former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has registered to run in Iran’s upcoming June 18 vote. The controversial politician has also warned that if the Guardian Council rejects his candidacy, he will neither vote in the elections nor endorse any other candidate. If approved, an Ahmadinejad campaign could inject more interest into an anticipated low-turnout vote.
