Activist travel ban stirs up Saudi Twitter

The story: A court in Riyadh has upheld a sentence against the prominent women’s rights activist Loujain Al-Hathloul. Recently released after over two years behind bars, she is now reportedly restricted from travelling abroad for five years. The 31-year-old gained prominence in 2013 for publicly campaigning for women’s right to drive and for the country’s male guardianship system to end.
