Gulf states line up behind Jordan's king amid palace intrigue

The story: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states are expressing solidarity with Jordan’s King Abdullah II. This follows the arrest of the king’s half-brother and former heir to the throne, Prince Hamzah bin Hussein, over an alleged failed palace coup. Jordan's government has accused Hamzah of attempting to destabilize the country and plotting with external actors.
