Despite Biden visit, Saudi Arabia hints at oil production cuts

The story: Saudi Minister of Energy Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud has suggested that OPEC+ could cut oil production to “curb market volatility.” Other representatives of OPEC+ also support output cuts if Iranian crude fully returns to markets because of a possible revival of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. The potential U-turn follows US President Joe Biden’s unfulfilled request for Saudi Arabia to step up production.
