Is the Iran-Israel spy war playing out in Iraqi Kurdistan?

The story: Iraqi Kurdistan is once again allegedly surfacing as a battleground for the Iran-Israel intelligence war. Media affiliates of some Iraqi Shiite armed groups close to Iran claim that a suicide drone has successfully targeted agents of Israel’s Mossad spy agency in Erbil.

However, Kurdish authorities have vehemently dismissed those claims, insisting that the semi-autonomous region “will never be a starting point to threaten the countries of the region”—seemingly referring to neighboring Iran. This comes as a local journalist livestreaming the scene of the June 8 incident has reportedly been detained by Kurdish security services...
