EU envoy to Iraq stirs controversy after "failed state" warning

The story: EU Ambassador Martin Huth has made headlines in Iraq after wading into the heated debate on whether the country could become a “failed state”. Huth issued the warning while also making damning remarks about Iraq having turned into a “proxy battlefield” for foreign powers. He additionally spoke about what Iraq needs to do to exit the EU’s “high-risk third country” list.
