Iranian women advance rights, but long struggle remains

The story: International Women's Day in Iran has been marked mostly by social activists, actors, and journalists who consider it an opportunity to express their disapproval of the inequality many women face every day. The celebration was predominantly limited to social networks amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, Iran has its own Women’s Day on the occasion of the birthday of Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad.
