In latest diplomatic push, Saudi Arabia hosts Palestinian rivals

The story: Senior officials from the Palestinian Hamas movement have visited Saudi Arabia for the first time since 2015—indicating a notable thaw with the Kingdom. In parallel, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MbS). The visits by the rival Palestinian leaders follow rising Saudi condemnation of Israel over Israeli-Palestinian tensions.
