Zarif tours Iraq with message of regional dialogue, de-escalation

The story: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has wrapped up a two-day tour of Iraq, which saw him highlighting Baghdad and Erbil’s pivotal role in the region. His trip also appears to be aimed at signaling a further Iranian willingness to work with Saudi Arabia ahead of a new round of talks in Baghdad between delegations from Riyadh and Tehran.
