Iran reassures GCC amid call on Biden to re-enter JCPOA via exec order

The story: Iran’s foreign minister has called on the US to reverse Donald Trump’s unilateral exit from the 2015 nuclear deal via executive order. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has also sought to reassure Iran’s neighbors, arguing that they ought to be apprised of talks on the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as the deal is formally known.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has said that “an agreement on how the US will re-join the JCPOA and on the effective removal of sanctions—all at once—could be made immediately if the US comes to Vienna with a proper executive plan, and abandons its prior policy of maintaining part of the sanctions imposed by Trump"...
