Iran and Morocco shape the agenda at the GCC reconciliatory summit

The story: The summit held in Saudi Arabia’s Al Ula governorate on January 5, a diplomatic breakthrough towards ending the rift between Qatar and the “Quartet”, continues to dominate media coverage across the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Aside from denouncing Iran’s regional policies, the final statement of the summit emphasised the key relationship between Morocco and the GCC.
