IRGC unveils new missile, talks up ‘hypersonic’ arms in warning to Israel

The story: Top commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) say Iran has developed a new long-range cruise missile while it is also working on a hypersonic projectile. The announcements appear to be a warning to Iran's adversaries, particularly Israel and the US. It will also likely raise concerns in the west amid Iran's growing military cooperation with Russia.

The coverage: IRGC Aerospace Force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh announced in a live television interview on Feb. 25 that the elite force had developed a new cruise missile.
