Inside story: Iran, UAE pursue thaw in ties amid JCPOA talks

The story: As Amwaj.media first reported on Nov. 16, a senior Emirati delegation led by National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan (TbZ) has been due to visit Iran. This has now been confirmed by the media affiliate of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), which says TbZ will arrive on Dec. 6. Meanwhile, Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan (AbZ) has for the second time in a month spoken with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
