Major drone drills renew focus on Iran’s arms export potential

The story: Iran’s Army has wrapped up two days of military exercises showcasing its air power—including the capabilities of its growing arsenal of drones. This comes as the US is doubling down on prior allegations that Russia is looking to buy Iranian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). While Tehran has rejected Washington’s assertions, officials and state-linked media in Iran have expressed support for UAV exports to partners and allies.

The coverage: The Iranian Army's drone drills on Aug. 25-26 were for the first time held jointly with the Khatam Al-Anbia Air Defense Base.
