Iranian hardliners move to ban reporters working for 'pro-sanctions' media

The story: Hardline MPs in Iran have introduced a motion intended to increase media censorship in the Islamic Republic. The move to restrict foreign media—along with local outlets relaying their coverage— has sparked backlash from Reformists, and also a few conservative journalists. While the bill may result in a loss of readers for local outlets, it may serve as a boost to the Reformist camp ahead of the June presidential elections.
