Iranian MPs set conditions for revival of nuclear deal

The story: 250 out of the 290 members of parliament in Iran have put forth conditions for the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal—including guarantees that the US will not withdraw from it again. Iran’s conservative government has said that a “political statement” by the US Congress vowing that Washington will remain committed to the deal could serve as a guarantee, but some in Iran have questioned whether such a statement has any legal weight.
