The story: US authorities have charged an alleged member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) with orchestrating the murder of an American citizen in Iraq. Stephen Edward Troell, a teacher, was gunned down in Baghdad in Nov. 2022. The attack was allegedly carried out by Iran-backed operatives.
