Saudi Arabia commutes death sentences handed to three Shiite prisoners

The story: Saudi Arabia has commuted the death sentences handed to three Shiite citizens jailed as minors. The trio includes Ali Al-Nimr, the nephew of the prominent Shiite dissident cleric Nimr Al-Nimr, who was executed in Riyadh in 2016. All three were sentenced to death in 2016 for crimes they had been accused of committing in 2012. They are expected to be released in 2022, after serving a 10-year sentence.
