Saudi authorities ‘arrest’ prominent judges over ‘high treason’

The story: Saudi state security authorities have arrested a group of nine judges on charges of “high treason.” According to the Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN) social justice organization, the arrests were allegedly ordered by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MbS). The arrests come days after Turkey transferred jurisdiction of the Jamal Khashoggi case to Saudi courts.

The coverage: DAWN announced on Apr. 13 that “Saudi authorities arrested a large group of judges…and accusing them of ‘high treason...’”
