Saudi Arabia moves to shut down fruit, veg imports from crisis-hit Lebanon

The story: Saudi Arabia has banned fruit and vegetable imports from Lebanon, while also stopping the passage of all Lebanese goods through its territory. Authorities in Riyadh announced the move after reportedly foiling attempts to smuggle millions of Captagon and amphetamine pills into Saudi Arabia via goods shipments. This comes as Beirut faces its worst economic crisis in decades and is increasingly in need of foreign aid.
