Riyadh-Doha rapprochement no seeming breakthrough for Saudi dissidents

The story: Saudi Arabian opposition media has expressed skepticism that the rapprochement between Riyadh and Doha can change the fate of dissidents who have been incarcerated over alleged links with Qatar. The ongoing struggle between Saudi authorities and some of its prominent opponents seems to have roots that transcend the internal crisis within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). 

The coverage: On Jan. 12, the pro-opposition website Miraat Al-Jazeera noted dissidents incarcerated in September 2017 across Saudi Arabia because of alleged ties with Qatar were still behind bars in spite of the reconciliation at the GCC summit...
