UAE appoints its first ever ambassador to Israel

The story: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has appointed Mohammad Al-Khaja as its first ever ambassador to Israel. The move follows the UAE cabinet’s ratification back in January of provisions to establish an embassy in Tel Aviv. Israel and the UAE normalized ties last year when they signed the Abraham Accords.
