Biden administration okays arms sales to Saudi Arabia, UAE

The story: The Joe Biden administration has approved arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) geared to enhance the missile defense systems of the Gulf Arab states. The deals follow President Biden’s visit to Jeddah last month, where he reinforced US security commitments to Washington’s Gulf Arab partners. However, Congress can still veto the weapons sales, which are worth over 5B USD.
