Iraqis react to US sanctions on PMU chairman

The story:  Iraq's media reacted to the the US treasury department’s decision on Jan. 8 to put the chairman of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Falih Al-Fayyadh on its sanctions list. The US treasury accuses Fayyad of being connected to serious human rights abuses. The sanctions state a freeze on any assets that Fayyadh has on US soil and prohibit American companies from doing business with him.
