The story: A cartoon published by the official website of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has provoked speculation about which politician he might support in the country’s June presidential elections. The image has been compared to a poster issued by conservative Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf during his 2017 presidential campaign. Qalibaf is rumored to be determined to run for the office again in the upcoming elections.
