Gökhan Ereli is a PhD candidate in International Relations at Middle East Technical University (METU), focusing on the geostrategic competition between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He completed his Master’s degree at METU and has been actively engaged in academic research and media analysis. Since 2018, he has been working at ORSAM, becoming the Coordinator of the Gulf Studies Department in 2021. He has conducted extensive field research in Jordan, Qatar, and the UAE. His analyses and writings have been featured in international media such as BBC World Service, VOA News, Al Jazeera, and Anadolu Agency, and he has appeared as a commentator on various TV programs. His research focuses on the political economy of the Middle East, identity politics, Post-Positivist International Relations theories, and contemporary French philosophy.
